SONOTHERAPY

SONOTHERAPY

Sonotherapy is the study of the science of therapeutic sounds and vibrations.

Music has always soothed the soul. Once used in religious ceremonies and rituals, it has always been part of history, as we can see from ancient frescoes, sculptures and Egyptian papyrus. Yet it took centuries for it to be recognized as a potential source of healing. Music has many beneficial effects on our mind and body.

Healing with sound therapy

Sonotherapy heals with sound vibrations. The waves produced by sound affect every cell in our body, beyond our ear.

Thanks to the power of vibrations on our bodies, sonotherapy promotes energetic harmonization. In this way, mind-body balance can alleviate many pathologies. Vibrations activate the body’s self-healing capacities.

This therapy can therefore help treat pathologies such as :

  • Stress and anxiety disorders
  • Depression
  • Certain pains
  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism (Please note that sound therapy cannot cure autism, but it can help open up new channels of communication for sufferers and encourage the expression of emotions, thereby making life more comfortable).

Sonotherapy offers a wide range of benefits for body and mind:

  • Emotional release
  • Relaxation of body and muscles
  • Reduced pain (digestive, muscular, joint, etc.)
  • Improved ability to concentrate
  • Stimulation of the immune system
  • Improved mood
  • Mind-body balance
  • Improved sleep quality (against sleep disorders, insomnia)
  • Stimulating creativity

How is sound therapy performed?
With a variety of instruments, used together or separately, such as :

Tibetan bowls (made from 7 minerals: silver, copper, tin, iron, mercury, gold and lead). These bowls have existed for thousands of years in the Bön religion. This is an animist religion that pre-dates Buddhism, which is in the majority in Tibet, and was already used as a sacred object and therapeutic tool.

Crystal bowls are essentially composed of silica, a chemical element that already naturally makes up our body’s cells. They will work on the subtle bodies and open the upper chakras.

Therapeutic tuning forks and their healing power thanks to their therapeutic frequencies. Known in music principally for producing the note “A”, they can nevertheless produce different tones. Each tuning fork can have a different frequency, which then acts differently on the body and mind.

Gongs that heal deep wounds with sounds from the depths of the universe.

Shamanic drumming to guide, ground and reconnect us with Mother Earth

Sacred songs that heal the soul and reconnect us to ourselves.

These instruments form the basis of sonotherapy, with treatment protocols for each instrument, or treatment protocols that combine all instruments for best results.
