The International School of Sonotherapy accompanies you in the birth of your shamanic drum over the course of a day in a small group of maximum 4-6 people.

The drum is called shamanic because it is charged with the energies of the spirit of the animal chosen to make the drum and of the person who will give birth to it. It carries your intentions. He invites you to travel to other realities. It’s also a companion that requires taming, learning and initiation. Giving birth to a shamanic drum is a fascinating process. It allows you to imbue this object, a true extension of yourself, with your vital energy and make it the tool and companion of choice for your meditations and treatments. The drum and the mallet are symbolic objects representing the masculine and feminine in each of us. Making your own drum is an opportunity to check your position in each of these polarities.

How the training works:

1. choice of skin
Our trainer will contact you before the training session, then connect with you to choose the skin that suits you best. You can also talk to him if you have a pet preference.
It is also possible to choose a skin on site in Chamoson, where they are kept.

2. Giving birth to your drum (the making) – 1 day
– Preparing the skin and circle It’s the bond that’s created. Reconnect with yourself, the tree (the circle) and the animal (your skin), which will work together to give birth to your drum.
– Cutting the skin for the drum: Make the skin your own and prepare it (cut the circle and the strap).
– Make contact with the animal: gain trust and connect with the skin used to weave the drum.
– Choose a stick for the mallet.
– Making a mallet from carded wool.
– Your drum’s awakening ceremony

Our trainer will guide you, step by step, through the process of giving birth to your drum.
